Lake Buena Vista Hotel Resort Village & Spa is superbly located in the heart of central Orlando and is just a stone’s throw away from the world famous theme parks. To be surrounded by so many competitors in such close proximity meant that first impressions were integral to our success.

The main ideals were centreed around striking a balance between user experience and aesthetics. We blended a colour palette that subtly enforced their corporate logo and brand identity, and produced a simple, easy-to-follow navigation that has usability and accessibility as the primary focus.

The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa website has all the functionalities and mod cons that you would come to expect from a recently designed and developed site. The responsive design is highly intuitive and incorporates a floating booking widget that adjusts in behaviour depending on the device it is being viewed upon. Intelligently, this booking widget will expand and collapse and never interfere with the content area of the site. This gives users an optimal experience without compromising on conversions.

Taking into consideration the demographic of visitors to the site, the Google Translate tool was integrated to provide accessibility across all languages at the click of a flag (which is conveniently located in the upper navigation area on all pages of the site). The design’s responsiveness also adjusts and calculates correct spacing based on whichever language is being viewed, allowing a seamless experience despite the length of the wording.

Another unique feature utilised is the (configurable within the CMS) radius on the map which demonstrates the hotel’s location amongst a variety of popular eateries, bars, shops and theme parks. There is the ability to specify distance, change the radius colours, and allocate different categories. This provides a simple, very visual understanding of where the property is located adding to the overall user experience.

The decision to refresh the look and feel of Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa’s existing site has propelled the property into the future with a website that will impress the most discerning users for years to come.
