Sixty seconds with Sebastian Paulin…

What does Ecommerce Strategy mean to you?
It’s all about understanding your online customer – how they think, how they behave and, most importantly, how they define their online experience.

Having an Ecommerce Strategy allows businesses to build a deeper connection with their customers which drives website traffic, improves conversion conversations and ultimately increases their bottom line.

Why does Ecommerce Strategy appeal to you so much?
The online market is becoming an increasingly important driver of business value.

The appeal of Ecommerce Strategy is that it provides businesses with the means of reaching different target markets, engaging customers and then driving tangible revenue growth.

Each client poses its own challenges which provides for a very rewarding working week.

When you are not up to your elbows in online strategies what do you do?
I like to keep active, whether its baseball, golf or four-wheel driving in my jeep. In winter, you will never find me far away from an AFL game, particularly watching the Swans.

Three things that make you tick?
A sense of humour, a passion for venture capital and time spent with my partner, family and friends.

Favourite food?
I like to be adventurous with my food, new spices and flavours are always on the menu at home but nothing beats a quality cut of steak fresh off the BBQ.

If you could host a dinner with any three people, who would you choose and why?
Julius Caesar for his strategic foresight during the forging of the Roman Empire, Nelson Mandela for his passion and commitment to humanitarian efforts and Richard Branson for his uncanny ability to challenge conventional business models and succeed.

If given the chance to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?
I’d spend the day relaxing at the beach surrounded by my closest friends and my Chocolate Labrador Cadbury. Sun, sand, surf and friends – what more could you want from a day off?
